Build-to-rent is raising the bar for every apartment building

Coronation Property’s recently approved Waterloo precinct will deliver around 825 Build-to-Rent apartments, together with retail, dining and extensive resident amenities.

What interests me most isn’t the scale. It’s the focus on what happens after residents move in.

Coronation’s Nation platform talks about managing the whole resident experience, from leasing and move-in through to how people live and connect day-to-day.

That’s where I think apartment living is heading.

A great lobby, pool and gym matter. But so does knowing the lift is being serviced tomorrow, when maintenance is happening or what’s going on in your building.

Good communication is part of good resident experience.

As Build-to-Rent raises expectations, I think those expectations will flow into strata, BTS and residential property more broadly.

The buildings that communicate well will simply feel better run.
